For Stainless Steels Alloys

LoTherme-454

AWS: SFA

EN ISO CODE:

Low heat input electrode for increasing the resistance to
intergranular corrosion

Approvals
Characterstics

LoTherme-454 is a stainless steel electrode
depositing an extra low-carbon weld metal. Weld
Metal deposited by these electrodes reduces the
possibility of intergranular carbide precipitation
and thereby increases the resistance to
intergranular corrosion without the use of
stabilizers such as niobium or titanium.

Applications

LoTherme-454 is specially designed for joining of similar alloys and for
surfacing and overlay applications on unalloyed steels. It is ideally suited for
welding stainless steels of AISI316L varieties and their equivalents. The extra
low carbon content ensures excellent corrosion resistance against sulphuric
acids, phosphoric acids, etc.
