LoTherme-359 is a smooth-running, basic-coated electrode deposits low-alloy filler metal. The electrode is designed for superior weldability, producing minimal spatter, stable arc, good wetting characteristics and excellent slag removal. This alloy offers high impact resistance and moderate abrasion resistance. Its ferrite-Bainite microstructure promotes excellent crack resistance.
Applications : LoTherme-359 is ideally suited for welding Mn-Mo-Ni alloys to themselves, to other metals and for surfacing steel with Mn-Mo-Ni deposit. Applications in this category include rams, sow blocks, die holders, die shanks, hammers bases and columns. It is also Utilized in steel mills and in maintenance shops for welding general machine parts such as steel gears, large arbors and shafts.
