A low hydrogen electrode yielding 9Cr - 1 Mo deposit having excellent creep strength up to 600°C and resistance to oxidising atmospheres up to 700°C. It is used for welding similar composition plates, pipes, forging and tubes. Typical applications include welding of A387 Gr.9 plate, A335 P9 pipe, A217 C12 castings, A213 T9 tubes etc.
1. Re-dry the electrodes at 250-300°C for one hour, as per our standard recommended practice.
2. Use short arc and stringer bead.
